What Is the Diffrence Between Cervical Cancer and Ovarian Cancer?
they happen in the same spot dont they.
yea i get it now. how can i help my friend she has given up on treatment and doesnt want to go back. she has cervical cancer its come back the 7th time.
Your cervix and your ovaries are two different body parts so no they r not the same.
No. Cervical cancer occurs in the cervix. Ovarian cancer is having cancer in/on your ovaries. They don’t happen in the same spot, but they can happen at the same time.
cervical cancer happens in the cervix and ovarian cancer happens in the ovaries. you can get both from unprotected sex
You only have one cervix (the opening to your uterus), located at the top of the vagina. You have two ovaries, one on each side, that are attached to the uterus by their own fallopian tube. Ovarian cancer occurs when a tumor/growth is present on one or both of the ovaries. Cervical cancer can occur when malignant cancer cells are apparent on the cervix. If those cells are not detected, then a tumor/growth can occur on the cervix.
However, if the cancer has gone undetected for a long period of time it can branch off and affect surrounding/nearby organs. If the tumor is growing, then it is somewhat like an ivy plant, if you can imagine that way.
The good thing is that most people can handle the therapy needed to beat cancer. Those tumor ‘branches’ will wilt away and the tumor will wither down in size and can then be removed.
PS: Were all the biopsies and treatments done at the same place?
