Heavy bleeding, irregular menstrual cycle, abdominal pressure, cramps or pain,
facial hair growth (sometimes).
Often a cyst will resolve itself. But there can be pain until it bursts.
High estrogen levels can cause these if you take the pill. It can have the same symptoms as a tumor but the tumor usually doesn’t go away on it’s own.
Multiple cysts could be endometriosis and would need surgery.
Honestly not many which is the sad thing. My sister had it and she just had a hunch it was. She said it like hurts to bend over and it is sore where the ovary should be. Go to the gyno and they will give you a ultra sound thing
I’m not exactly sure, but I have one about an inch big. I sometimes hurt really bad in my lower right stomach area and have to go the ER. My doctor told me that probably happens because a/the cist is bursting… not fun if you ask me. Here are some symptoms I found on: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/ovarian-cysts/ds00129/dsection=symptoms
Menstrual irregularities
Pelvic pain — a constant or intermittent dull ache that may radiate to your lower back and thighs
Pelvic pain shortly before your period begins or just before it ends
Pelvic pain during intercourse (dyspareunia)
Pain during bowel movements or pressure on your bowels
Nausea, vomiting or breast tenderness similar to that experienced during pregnancy
Fullness or heaviness in your abdomen
Pressure on your rectum or bladder — difficulty emptying your bladder completely
When to see a doctor; Seek immediate medical attention if you have:
Sudden, severe abdominal or pelvic pain
Pain accompanied by fever or vomiting
These signs and symptoms — or those of shock, such as cold, clammy skin, rapid breathing, and lightheadedness or weakness — indicate an emergency and mean that you need to see a doctor right away.
