What were your symptoms of it? I think that i may have ovarian cancer but im not sure of it…. i went to the emergency room oct 4th for bleeding that went on for 4 weeks and 4 days. they did a pelvic exam and they did not find anything and they drew blood because they thought that it could have been an ectopic pregnancy but they said that i was not pregnant.. but they did not do an ultrasound. i have an appointment with my OB/GYN on the 28th, but i just wanted some in put if possible….. thanks for your answers
Ok, so I have already set up an appointment with my doctor next week, but was hoping somebody else maybe had some answers to help ease the stress..
Symptoms:
Headaches (uncommon for me)
Absence of a period (however i am on birth control which causes me to have irregular periods)
Sore breasts
Soreness/Achy pain in lower back
Cramping in lower abdomen
Bloating
Fatigue
Nausea
Dizziness
Weakness
Low blood pressure
Etc..
So these are some symptoms I have been experiencing the past few weeks. I don’t have all these symptoms everyday, but these are symptoms I have been noticing at least several times in the last few weeks.
Do ovarian cysts sometimes mimic the symptoms of pregnancy??? My last menstrual period was on 11/24… I went into the hospital two nighs ago and they told me that I have a 2cmX4cm cyst on my ovary… It is a functional cyst… they said that when the egg broke through the ovary a cyst grew over it.. and it should go away once I get my period…. I called my regular Ob/gyn and she sounded ok.. she said that everything is normal and that it should go away on its own… and that I should have an appointment in about a month to see if it has gone down at all then we’d take it from there… Well once i asked her about if my symptoms were related to the cyst she sounded really concerned!!! She asked if I could go in right away.. but I was unable to… so she asked if I could get a pregnancy test right a way… So i took the test and It came back NEGATIVE!!! cane these symptoms be the cyst mimicking pregnancy…. ?? I’m really confused… Have any of you had a cyst and the doctor thought you were pregnant and you really weren’t?! or vice versa? Please help!!!!!
I have done research online, and the symptoms are very similar, but is there a female who have experience it. I have a itchy feeling which started on my left side of my abdomen which sometimes circulate to my thighs. Also pain in my left pelvic, my bladder don’t hold anything and I was told by a doctor in the ER a couple weeks back that I may have a cysts. I have a GYN appointment tomorrow, yet right now I am so so so scared.
Is it an ruptured ovarian cysts I have? If so what will be done right away?

I’ve looked up a few of my symptoms online and I think I might have an ovarian cyst. I’m in my mid teens and have had my period for a little less then 2 years now. I know its okay to skip but I’ve skipped 4 months! I’m not sexually active. I haven’t even had spotting, its like I don’t even have a period but before when I did it was very heavy. I also have occasional abdominal cramps and I’ve gained about 10 pounds in 2 weeks, i don’t think thats normal since i workout 3x a week and eat decently healthy.Does this mean i have a hormonal imbalance? I know ovarians cysts are very common in my age group. I’m pretty sure I have it I just want to know how to go about telling my mom to make an appointment, or do i even need one? Do i need meds? or how is it treated? Can you share an expirence, that might help me understand thing? Thanks!
I had an 11cm ovarian cyst drained from my left ovary in November 07 which came back and had to be removed in February 08. Since then I had been in constant pain, especially when sitting or during in intercourse. A few nights ago I couldn’t sleep as I was in so much pain in my pelvic area, lower back and it seemed to go inot my hips.
I’ve just had an internal ultrasound scan which showed that my left ovary is covered with cysts again, one of which is just over 3cm and another has burst and filled my pelvis with fluid. The sonographer lady said it was an awful ot of fluid in there and that it was probably what was causing so much pain aswell as the cysts being painful.
I asked about treatment and all she said was that the result of the scan will go to my GP and gynaecologist and it is up to me to go to them to find out what the treatment will be. I said I hve an appointment with my Gynyaecologist in 3 weeks and she said I need to be seen sooner than that as the fluid should not
…be there.
What is the treatment and how soon will I need to be seen? Is it serious? I’m supposed to be going away on holiday tomorrow.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
