So, sadly, my family has been going through a hard time with cancer.
My mom lost her biological mom when I was around 5 [To Cancer.]
My mom’s adopted mom November 29, 2009, [To Cancer.]
My mom’s step father December 4, 2009. [To Cancer.]
&& My mom’s Uncle, [My Great Uncle.] December 5, 2009 [To Cancer.]
And very unfortunately, my friend’s mother had lost her battle with Ovarian
cancer. My family [Especially my mother and I] Were VERY close to this
family and Cathy. [The one who lost her battle with cancer.] Cathy was very nice,
She help my grandmother who just passed Nov. 29th with her cancer.
[One cancer patient to another.(:]
Sadly, Cathy lost her battle.
Everyone knew she didn’t have much time.
She knew, Her husband, Her 3 sons, family and friends.
But, that time came to fast and to soon..
Cathy passed December 20, 2009 at 12:10 AM.
Her son’s are devastated and everyone else.
SHe was always beaming with joy.(:
Her youngest son Sam who is now a freshman wrote
this poem two yeas ago when she was diagnosed.:
I remember your brave face through all the pain.- The day you told us and I tried to remain sane.-"I have ovarian cancer," you said as a matter of fact, yet you didn’t shed a single tear you stayed intact.-Throughout the chemo, and pills,-you still smiled and had such strong will.- Your attitude is what carried you on, without it, I don’t think you would have lasted as long.- The cancer ate at you like a starved disease, Killing your insides and slowly bringing you to your knees.- But still through it all you held that smile, But sometimes, I could see it faltered, but only for awhile.- I love you mommy with everything I have to offer and give.- Maybe one day they will find a cure to help other people, To smile and live.
Anyways, I wanted to know if there is anything that has cancer awareness that I would be able to
put on my myspace profile.(: It can has to do with cancer, or what I per fer, something having to do with: "Loosing someone you loved to cancer." Err whatever. I dont really care.
But thank you,
Kirsten(:.
Im 19 years old so of course I have no kids. Ive been diagnosed with Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome. there is no cure to this and there are allot of painful and depressing complications. im serverly obese from this & I also am on depression medications. If I was to get pregnant I would have a miscarriage because PCOS causes infertility so im infertile anyway, plus I cant have kids because of my depression. so the thing I dont understand is why the doctor wont remove my ovaries. my ovaries dont work anymore and they are doomed so why not just remove them? I never want kids EVER! is there anyone who knows how I can get this done?
1991-ectopic pregnancy & L tube/ovary removed, 1995-conal biopsy CIN 3/tubal ligation/adhesions removed, 1996-partial hysterectomy (R ovary remains) due to chronic abdominal/pelvic pain/distension/adhesions, 1998-rectocele & enterocele repair/adhestions removed, 1999-5 cm ovarian cyst identified (not removed due to risk caused by adhesions), 2006–CT scan reveals "somewhat diffuse" pelvic mass large enough to be originally mistaken for a "uterus tilted slightly to the right".
My sister was diagnosed with very bad endo; after she mentioned that my symptoms were similar, I did research. Endo diagnosis is difficult, esp. for a Dr not familiar w/ endo. Is it possible that I could have had endo implants w/ implants left over after hysterectomy? Endo implants can cause more adhesions, cysts, abdom distension. Even hyst doesn’t cure endo. No insurance; paid cash for CT; hard to find Dr who takes cash. I have periodic abd distension, chronic pain, not eased by BM, so not IBS. Anybody?
"Bilateral small follicles compatible with polycystric ovarian diseases "
what does it mean, can this be cured & conceived
to patients/caregivers. And then life moved on. I forgot (well, not really). Need ideas to get started. I have seen & heard of patients/caregivers declining treatment for want of funds or courage to persist in the fight. Your thoughts/ideas?
Many BC pills raise LDL & lower HDL cholesterol, and increase risk of atherosclerosis (indicated by increased hsCRP). However, BC pills are also prescribed for controlling endometriosis & preventing ovarian cancer.
What BC pills help with endometriosis but do not cause increased risk of heart disease? Are there any options?
