Severe Spells of Left Ovarian Pain? Im Scared..?

over the past month or so I have been having SEVERE pelvic pain, Its right around where my left ovary is, Ill be walking, sitting or laying when all the sudden I get a very sharp stabbing pain that is paralyzing , It stops me in my tracks it so bad, At first I was thinking it was a cyst that popped but Now Im not sure as it happens 5-10 times a day at any given time. I have an appointment with a pelvic pain Specialist in my area on friday, but until then I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this? and what was it? Im very nervous as ovarian cancer, PCOS, and endometriosis all run in the maternal side of my family, If it helps any, I have also been infertile, I have not used protection in three years with my husband and I have not once fallen pregnant and I am 21 and he is 25. Im just really nervous ;( any help would very much appreciated

I have lived with this exact pain every day of my life since December 31, 2006. It is absolute hell. Unfortunately, I hvae endo, AND pcos, and I have had many many surgeries to fix all of these problems.

You need to get in to see your OBGYN and get rolling on a diagnosis and treatement plan. Have an ultrasound and bloodword done. A diagnositc laparascopy would probably be good for you becuase then the doc can get inside and see what is going on with you. Hopefully it isn’t as severe as a case as me and it could be a few cysts rupturing, or even PCOS, both which can be managed medically. Don’t let it go on for very long without pushing your doctor to do something to help you (besides push pain meds on you).

I hope that your journey through this pain is a short one…I do not wish the pain I experience daily on anyone. If you want to ask more specific questions, contact me through my profile!
    Good luck!

I had that same thing happen to me when I was 22. I went to the er cause the pain would get soo bad. They did an ultrasound (vaginally) and it showed that I had a few ovarian cysts. I ended up having surgery. You can have the pain even if the cyst hasnt popped. You should see your gyno and request a vaginal ultrasound and dont worry it sounds worse than it is. I promise that ultra sound doesnt hurt! Ive had a few.
