Im 20yr old. How do you biopsy a 4.8CM left complex ovarian cyst? How is treatment afterwards? What are the chances it’s cancerous? Will i have to have an ovary removed? I have appt. Thurs but was wondering until then…thanks

I had an Ovarian Cyst years ago the only way to treat is to Operate go in & remove it there is no other treatment once it’s removed you’ll no longer be in pain.It depends how bad it is mine was really bad & my left ovary burst & it had to be removed & my case was bad so I had 2 stay in the hospital due to a Tubal Pregency at the time.I give you my Blessing and I’ll say a Prayer 4 U..Good Luck

some are done laproscopically and some done open … you should have consults with both drs. lapro is easier recovery. usually the drs are lazy and just cut out whatever takes to do fast. let the dr know you are planning a family want to preserve what they can with your safety.

usually they can tell if a mass is soft / squishy from xray and then get the ct scan … ct is more detailed . there are a lot of blood tests that can be telling .. biopsy is the final thing needed and i believe a majority are non cancer . however, if there is a risk / it is best to find out and get the cyst out . also let your doctor know that you would like a good closing on any incisions . doctors do such sloppy stapeling work . you want to ask for a cosmetic quality closing . sew from inside out / and/ or use the new glues . nice clean line . amazing the laziness some doctors have.
