Did you have to drain it because you couldn’t get behind & underneath it to sever it from the abdomen? Were you able to sever it from the body after the draining?

because the patient had two laparotomies before the pedicle was adherent to the lateral pelvic wall with the urter and great vessels which necesstate adhesiolysis in order not to injure the vital structures and this was difficult without draining first then adhesiolysis and removal of the cyst done

I have 3 ovarian cysts. One is the size of a grapefruit, another the size of an orange and the third is the size of a 17 week pregnancy. Scary.

will removing the cyst mean that you have to get your reproductive organs removed? do you know how it affects getting pregnant?

With that one they would have to remove the ovary, normally the cyst would destroy the other living material around it, they won’t give a hysterectomy unless totally necessary. You can still get pregnant as long as you have an ovary and a fallopian tube, doesnt matter if they are on different sides either.

    i suppose. But shouldn’t that doesn’t matter anymore, since she’s 50-years old?

But of course, if same thing would have happened for the younger people, it would be very unfortunate

no obligation to do surgery for here without here desire>>>she started to seek medical advice after longtime suffering from heaviness and pain and immediately agreed to have the surgery

No. I meant if she can keep it after it is removed.
