It is possible to get ovarian cancer at early age.
There is good evidence that in some women genetic factors are important. Carriers of certain mutations of the BRCA1 or the BRCA2 gene are notably at risk. The BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes account for 5%-13% of ovarian cancers and certain populations (e.g. Ashkenazi Jewish women) are at a higher risk of both breast cancer and ovarian cancer, often at an earlier age than the general population.
Patients with a personal history of breast cancer or a family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer, especially if diagnosed at a young age, may have an elevated risk.
You better get another specialist,s opinion.

It’s possible to have cancer at any age. Ovarian cancer at 13 or 14 is very rare, just as prostate cancer would be for a 13 or 14 yo boy.

Possible but unlikely. Get a 2nd opinion is a good thing to do.

As someone has already suggested, cancer doesn’t have an age discrimination. However, research has shown that surprisingly the largest demographic of women with ovarian cancer, is in fact over 60′s. As you’re approach womanhood, I suggest you make another appointment to see your family doctor and discuss your case with them again. Perhaps the doctor doesn’t think you’re at risk, at your current age of development. You are quite young, and would need a pelvic exam as well as a possible ultrasound to confirm ovarian cysts. Try talking with your mum or nurse, a second opinion from another woman could put your mind at resk.

    All the best.

Technically, yes, it’s possible–I had ovarian cancer as a teenager. But it’s extremely unlikely, and ALL of the symptoms of ovarian cancer are also symptoms of other ovarian problems that are benign and not dangerous and far far far more common than ovarian cancer. You need to learn to judge what are things that are genuinely worrisome, and what are things that are just normal aches and pains, or every time that you have normal aches, you’ll worry you have cancer and become a basket case.
