Is Conceiving a Child Possible After Removal of Ovarian Cyst?

my friend has ovarian cysts in both ovaries. can she be able to get pregnant after its removal? the doctor was not specific enough on the surgical treatment (whether she will remove the ovaries of just the cyst).

Usually a gynecologist can perform just a cystectomy, which is removal of the cyst while leaving the ovarian tissue intact. So she should still be able to get pregnant.

yes its still possible as long as the ovaries weren’t removed…it may be a little more difficult but not impossible

Yes it is possible if they remove the cyst but not if they remove the ovary. She will probably have to contact a fertility specialist to conceive and they might put her on medication to help control the cyst like metiform which is a diabetic drug but seems to help in this area or they might do what is called ovarian drilling

Is the cyst on one ovary, or both? If it’s only one ovary, she should be able to conceive a child since she still has one left. My mom had one of her ovaries removed when she was pregnant with my older sister (She had a large cyst on the ovary.). Miraculously enough, my sister was fine and my mom conceived me, then my brother. :)
