I Have to Have Surgery to Remove an Ovarian Cyst?

On the 30th I have to have surgery to remove my ovarian cyst. It is 6 cm big and has continued growing.
I’ve never had surgery before. What can I expect?
Will the scars be bad? Is it painful?
It’s the surgery where they make three incisions, one in the belly button and two where the ovaries are.

Thanks

You can expect minimal pain, because you will be given medicine to control the pain. There will be very little scarring. You will not engage in strenuous physical activity for about a month. You will probably be able to go home the next day.
