Sometimes women with PCOS do not ovulate. That is the biggest concern with PCOS and trying to conceive. Your care provider who diagnosed your PCOS should be able to let you know how to tell if you are ovulating. This generally includes getting a Basal Body Temperature thermometer and chart, and charting your temperature every day before you get out of bed.

Also, you may need to do a Glucose Tolerance Test to see if you are insulin resistant. Sometimes women with PCOS are insulin resistant, and need medication (such as Metformin) to make sure that you are taking the best care of your body possible.

    Good Luck!

It can be difficult to get pregnant with this condition.

I too have PCOS and the other poster is correct about insulin resistance. Its important to get tested for that. Metformin is often used to help people with PCOS who either have diabetes or not. Depending on how bad the symptoms are. Birth control pills can help as well in terms of pain.

THese days,. pregnancy is fairly possible with fetility treatments and many people with PCOS do that if they can’t concieve without that sort of assistance.

I had one of my ovaries rupture due to a solid dermoid cyst and so I have one now but I have to get a couple of internal (yuki) ultrasounds a year just to make sure I don’t have any more cysts that can cause rupture. It’s improtant that you go for check ups with your doctor esp if you have increased pain, tenderness or any other unexpected symptoms with the PCOS.

I went to a PCOS specialist and he told me that I could get help to concieve in the future if I wanted so its qute possible to get pregnant with PCOS with or without special help.

So ultimately,. it is possible and probable. :)
