i was ttc for 8 months. after i found out i had polycystic ovarian syndrome, my doctor put me on a medication called Clomid. This past month was my 3rd month on clomid and i found out i’m pregnant!
do you ovulate regularly? if you do then yes, as of right now you can still get pregnant.
"wiki states: Not all women with PCOS have difficulty becoming pregnant. For those who do, anovulation is a common cause. Ovulation may be predicted by the use of urine tests that detect the preovulatory LH surge, called ovulation predictor kits (OPKs). Charting of cervical mucus may also be used to predict ovulation, or certain fertility monitors (those that track urinary hormones or changes in saliva) may be used. Methods that predict ovulation may be used to time intercourse or insemination appropriately."
If you don’t then there are treatments, however there are no cures per say, all though the treatment may not let the symptoms show you’ll always have it
"wiki states: Regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight will help reduce the hormonal imbalance, restore ovulation and fertility, and improve acne and hirsutism.
General interventions that help to reduce weight or insulin resistance can be beneficial for all these aims, because they address what is believed to be the underlying cause of the syndrome"
Update: well then yes, you can most definitely conceive
my sister has it and was told she might never have children, she wasn’t trying at the time but still got preggers and has a healthy baby girl, best you speak to your doctor more about your particular condition.
Hi
I was told that i had pcos 3 months ago but then told that cause was i was on the implanon that the implanon may have caused it. But they were not to sure. So anyway i had the implanon removed 10th may and i did ultrasound today and was told all the cyst was gone and it was caused by the implanon, i dont have pcos. So if you were diagonosed and on contracepiton i recommend stop the contraception and recheck in 3 months time.
