17 Year Old With Bad Ovarian Pain! I Don't Want to Go to the Doctor :(?
I got off my period about 2 weeks ago and yesterday as well as today I’ve been having serious pains that feel something like menstrual cramps on the right side towards my ovary.It sooo annoying and hurts really bad! I’m 17 and will be 18 in 2 months. I don’t want to go to the doctor ,but my mom says if the pain continues I must go. Does anyone know whats wrong with me? Is it disease,std,cyst related?
I have the same problem. It can be a series of things. I have cysts on my ovaries (the side I have pain) so I would go see a doctor. They found my cysts whilst looking for something else but I have another scan in 4 weeks to see if the cysts have gone. I understand where you are coming from, it is painful.
However, it can also be part of ovulation. I went to my doctor about it last week and I had it same time as you, around 2 weeks after coming on my period and he said at that time is when the egg is released which can cause pain. Some woman experience it, others don’t.
The only thing you can do is to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. Please don’t be embarassed. I am 18 yrs old aswell so I can relate to the embarassement of going to the doctor etc but he really has heard and seen it all.
You need to go to the doctor. To be sure.
